Why We Built Bondfires
The Scheduling Problem
Traditional groups require everyone to be online or in-person at the same time. For people with demanding careers, families, or other commitments, this creates "calendar tetris"—juggling schedules just to connect. We wanted a better way.
The Community Problem
Most digital spaces prioritize volume and virality over depth. We believe conversations should be organized around shared interests (camps), with structure that encourages quality over quantity.
The Depth Problem
Asynchronous video allows for more thoughtfulness. Instead of reacting in real-time, you can craft meaningful responses. This leads to deeper connections and more authentic exchanges than rapid-fire chat or surface-level check-ins.

Bondfires was founded by two people in tech who experienced the challenges of finding authentic community firsthand. With backgrounds in technology and a shared passion for helping people connect, we built Bondfires to solve the problems we faced.
