Our commitment to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation on our platform

Our Commitment

Bondfires has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Protecting children is a paramount priority, and we are committed to preventing the creation, distribution, and consumption of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform.

Policy Overview

  • Zero Tolerance: We strictly prohibit any content that sexually exploits or endangers children, including CSAM, grooming behavior, or any sexualized content involving minors
  • Age Requirement: Bondfires is for people age 13 and older. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts or use the platform
  • Age-Separated Communities: Accounts for people age 13–17 can only discover, join, invite, view, or participate in teen Camps. Adult accounts can only use adult Camps. This boundary is enforced by the service and is not bypassed by an existing membership or ordinary invite link
  • Controlled Family Hearths: A teen and an adult may share a private Hearth Bondfire only through a short-lived, single-use family invitation and an explicit acceptance step. The resulting Family Connection is user-declared, can be revoked by either person, and never permits cross-age Camp access or makes either account discoverable across the age boundary in search or recommendations. Bondfires does not verify or represent the connection as a legal or biological relationship
  • Reports and Review: People can report concerning content or behavior in the app or by email. We prioritize child-safety reports for review and remove content or accounts that violate these standards
  • Required Reporting: When we become aware of apparent CSAM or child exploitation, we make reports to the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law

Prohibited Content and Behavior

The following content and behavior is strictly prohibited on Bondfires:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
  • Sexualized content involving minors, including illustrated or digitally generated content
  • Grooming behavior or attempts to solicit minors
  • Sharing, requesting, or distributing CSAM
  • Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children
  • Links to external sites containing CSAM or child exploitation content

Reporting to Authorities

When we become aware of apparent CSAM or child exploitation on our platform, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through their CyberTipline, as required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A). We also cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies investigating crimes against children.

We preserve relevant evidence and account information as required by law and provide this information to law enforcement upon valid legal request.

How to Report Child Safety Concerns

If you encounter any content or behavior on Bondfires that you believe exploits or endangers children, please report it immediately:

We prioritize reports of potential CSAE for review and take action based on the report, available evidence, these standards, and applicable law.

Consequences for Violations

Any user found to be sharing, distributing, or possessing CSAM, or engaging in grooming or exploitation of minors, will face:

  • Immediate and permanent account termination
  • Reporting to NCMEC and relevant law enforcement authorities
  • Preservation of evidence for law enforcement investigation

We do not provide warnings for CSAE violations. Any violation results in immediate action.
